I couldn't have been more miserably hot yesterday...

The National Weather Service in Seattle issued an excessive heat watch that is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday evening. Temperatures will be 15 to 20 degrees above normal with daytime highs reaching into the 90s across the Tacoma, Seattle, and Everett areas. Wednesday will be the warmest of the two days with highs in the mid to upper 90s possible.
Yep, it was damn hot last night, a record 98 degrees, and I have a heat hangover (headache and fatigue) today. Yesterday our group had a barbecue/picnic at Remlinger Farm in Carnation, WA, and I had a bit too much sun, so that by the time I got home, I was feeling wilted. A cool bath, three glasses of ice water, and later on, two icy mojitos, meant I was feeling better, but I still had trouble sleeping because the house didn't cool off till 1 A.M.

It was too hot to turn on my computer upstairs--I didn't want to sit upright in the heat, and the laptop would have overheated anyway. I think it was nearly 90 up there. I spent the night downstairs in front of a fan. Having damp hair helped cool me off, so I wet it down a second time after my cool bath.

Temperatures today are expected to stay in the 80s. By Sunday, it could be raining. Yay for that.

ETA: It looks like they were wrong about the temp today, and it's way cooler. *is relieved*
