Hang Ready Workshop on March 8th!

Feb 16, 2009 14:05

Do you have pictures that just won't stay on the wall?  Maybe your frames are leaning too far away from the wall.  Maybe you have no idea that it isn't OK to hang your canvas directly on the wall without a hanging device like wire or a saw-tooth hanger.  Maybe you have no idea what I just said.  Another possibility is that you let a professional let it happen and spend too much or you have no idea and wait until you arrive to hang a show and then find out that tape is just not going to cut it.  Be aware that at least 50% of you are doing it wrong or not at all.

This is a hands-on workshop that I teach to help you make your art more presentable and safer to hang on the wall.  What ever your presentation style, medium, or type of work, it needs to be presented nicely and securely.  I will be discussing and demonstrating a wide variety of hanging methods for a wide array of hanging situations.  We will even be making a few of your peices hang-ready during the workshop.  Tools and materials are provided if you don't have your own.  More infomation about this workshop can be found at:  http://theecurator.tripod.com/hang.html.

You must confirm your attendance by noon on March 4th for the workshop.  If there are too many people, an additional workshop will be scheduled.
