Well, we've had the Sprog for a week, and while I absolutely adore her, I'm pretty exhausted. She's not very fussy and sleeps well, but nursing is another story. I'm sure things will improve in time, but right now it's just not very fun, to say the least.
Spouse has been a fantastic partner through all this, and I couldn't adore him more, which I why I am disappointed I don't have the energy to do something nicer for him today. (It's his 29th birthday today, Happy Birthday Spouse!) Still, he seems happy to spend the day relaxing at home and adjusting to all this change. He goes back to work tomorrow, and then tomorrow night his mom arrives to see the baby, so I'm sure it's for the best all around that we're taking it easy, but still.
My parents were down for a week and left on Sunday, and were a great help while they were here. My mom especially filled my freezer with several days worth of meals before going, and dad was key in holding Sprog when I needed a shower. So that was a good visit and I'm hoping the one with his mom is similarly blessed.
Thanks to everyone for all their well wishes and congratulations on Sprog's birth, I'm sorry I haven't responded individually but my time is not my own right now, if you know what I mean. I'm going to print all of them out and put them in Sprog's baby book, which will be an interesting memento 20 years from now when the world has changed and the internet is all virtual, or something.
Special shout-outs to

zehera on their birthdays.
