So this weekend I flew to Portland for my baby showers, which were fantastic.

Good thing I never started on that blanket... I finally learned how to increase and decrease in knitting though, so maybe someday I will move on from scarves.

:) This is such an exciting time for you!

When my Mom had her youngest child, she had enough clothes for 2 years because a lot of her friends were smart and bought stuff for the older years as well. It was crazy.

It is really exciting... and also tiring, and expensive. *grin* I tend not to post when I'm down, so I hope people aren't getting too skewed a perspective of the whole pregnancy thing. Oh well.

My shower provided some stuff for ages one to two, just not as much as for the first year. People are so nice, sometimes.

Well, you must balance out the people who only post when they're down. :)

Do you guys have names picked out?

We're thinking about Isabella Kiyomi, and on the off chance that it's a boy, Ezra Masami. (Kiyomi and Masami are family names of Spouse's, Isabella and Ezra are traditional names with biblical meaning such as my family tends to use.) And as a concession to Spouse, both have the "z" sound of which he is so fond, weird man that he is. What do you think?

Oh yes I remember Isabella now. SO cute. And Ezra is nice too - not too common!

I love using the middle name for traditional family names. That is what my husband's family does too (thus his completely weird middle name of Larkin).

Did you consider Esther? Or to meet the Z criteria, perhaps Azalia?

Neither of those really sold Bryce or I, so they didn't stay on the list long.
