ianthe_waiting has tagged me :-). So here's the meme

Guilt What is yours? Explain yourself Culinary: Indian food
It's sweet and spicy which is the epitome of perfect to me :). I spend much of my time in the kitchen trying to re-create one of my favorite dishes shahi chicken korma!
Literary: Pablo Neruda He touches my soul with his poetry. All I need is a little wine, a little Neruda, and maybe some chocolate and that would be perfection to me.Audiovisual: Lost Yeah I know, that's so 'mainstream' but it really is a great show. It's riviting, exciting, and I just can't stop watching it.
Musical: Depeche Mode Anything and everything by Depeche Mode is on my ipod , and it's on a continuous loop.
Celebrity: Jake Gyllenhaal I was one of the first to spot him in "Donnie Darko" and "Moonlight Mile" before he became "popular". I remember being in the theatre just staring at his loveliness. He's just *guh* I can't even tell you what it is about him that makes me want to pass out but he does. He just does it for me. *comforts and pets Jake*

Now I tag:-

*headdesk* Okay there's going to be a slight rant so leave the journal immediately if that kind of thing totally upsets you.

Ummmmmm, Brokeback got anally raped which is really funny because it's a movie about homosexuals. I'm still in shock over well...WTF happened at the Oscar's last night but whatever. I guess this kind of proves that as 'enlightened' and as 'liberal' the Oscar's/Hollywood is, it's still not ready to actually make any real statements...at least not anymore.

As someone who watched 3 out of the 5 best pic nominee's, 'Crash' being one of them, I'm just floored that that movie was the best movie of the year. Maybe the academy simply didn't remember that this was for best movie of the year of 2005 and not...I don't know, best mediocre movie of the year?!?! *face palm* Even though no one reads this journal I just want people to understand that this is not about race. I'm african-american for gods sake and I DID NOT want 'Crash' to win. 'Brokeback' was simply better from top to bottom and it saddens me that this means that as a people, America just isn't ready for prime time to deal with these issues like...grownups! Ugh! Goodnight!

Well, almost. Again, no one cares but I've been in the process of buying a house so my stress level has gone up and my free time has diminshed to about nada. If any author I read actually reads this I just want them to know that I love you guys and I'll do my best to keep reading and reviewing your work as best as I can. Okay, now Goodnight!
