Blarg!

I just cannot get into the Outerwear challenge for the Historical Sew Fortnightly. Blarg. I've tried, I just...can't.
It's not like I'm really slacking...I just did an alteration on a dress for my neighbor. She's going to Homecoming and her dress is not made for someone with her bust size. She needed to wear a strapless bra, but then it would show at the dip in the back. I just added a piece in the back up to the zipper, then 3 snaps attached to elastic along the other side to hold it up. This would just cover the back of her strapless bra so she could wear the proper undergarments. The whole back to the waist was open and the lace is a flimsy stretch-lace. The satin used under the lace in the front, was only to the side seams. Luckily I had a piece of diamond white poly satin that matched really well.

I love Cupcake. She's the best $20 I've ever spent. (Cupcake is the small vintage adjustable dress form)

alteration, hsf
