HSF #17 Robe

Sep 23, 2013 00:40

The Challenge: So for the Historical Sew Fortnightly‘s Challenge #17, Robes & Robings, I played with the words a bit. I found that the word “Tabard” in English is translated into the word “Robe” in French. And I have a young man knight who wanted a Tabard to wear to the Renaissance Festival.
Fabric: Cotton blends.
Pattern: None
Year: Generic Medieval
Notions: Bias tape.
How historically accurate is it? Basically, the shape is correct. It’s a simple rectangle.
Hours to complete: 2
First worn: September 23rd, 2012
Total cost: $5
