Antique Dress, would love a date
My Mother in Law’s Cousin’s Aunt gave the cousin a dress and petticoat. I’m told the Aunt is in her 90s, so I don’t know if the dress was hers, or her mother’s, I didn’t get clear details on it. Anyway, the cousin knows I love historical clothing, so she loaned the pieces to my MiL and we took some pictures, ok a lot of pictures. I’m trying to date the dress. I don’t know if because I’m currently researching teens era clothing, that I’m seeing this as that same era. In any case, I’ve posted the pictures up at flickr if anyone is interested and may have an idea on the timeframe of this dress. And if it is a teens era dress, then I know what my dress will be patterned off of.
