SFPA Launches Moderated Message Board

(Cross-posted around the virtual town)

The Science Fiction Poetry Association has just launched its first moderated message board, the SFPA Forum, at its official website, sfpoetry.com. The forum runs on the phpBB platform, and contains topics on SFPA Specifics, such as Star*Line and the Rhysling/Dwarf Stars Awards, as well as Speculative Poetry topics, such as Market Announcements and Tips and a password-protected Poetry Critique forum.

The board is open to the public, and does not require registration to read any topics except for the Poetry Critique Forum. To post a message, however, one must register, and the process is very simple. The direct link to the forum is:

http://www.sfpoetry.com/forum/index.php

Once on the Board Index page, click "Register" on the top right. After agreeing to the general board terms, you will need to enter a username, e-mail address, and password on the registration page. At the bottom of the page, type the supplied confirmation code and click "Submit." Voila! You are a member of the SFPA Forum community.

Please be sure to read "SFPA Forum Rules and Guidelines," the very first topic under "SFPA Specifics." All SFPA Forum members will be presumed to have knowledge of the rules and guidelines, and to have agreed to the terms.

The SFPA Forum Team is comprised of Forum Administrators Robin Mayhall and yours truly, Karen A. Romanko, and Forum Moderators Paula Berman, Amal El-Mohtar, and Marcie Lynn Tentchoff.

We hope you will join us in creating and maintaining a dynamic and safe online speculative poetry community at the SFPA Forum.

Karen A. Romanko
SFPA Vice President
for the SFPA Forum Team
