Back to the Black Board

So Dear Readers, I am once again seeking gainful employment. My Internship ended a bit ago, and I have been sending out my resume daily to as many companies as possible. So far I have received about 12 rejections and a ton of no responses.

However, I do not admit defeat so easily, and I have sent out a small army of resumes with each turn down.

This has paid off, sorta. A company that has not yet fully formed has a vision of doing a movie. I have been set to the task of doing concept art for them, however the first two projects are merely tests. If they like my work, they will accept me as an employee and actually pay me for my work. Sadly however, it will be project based work. This means once or twice a month I shall have work for a few days. Not enough to truly support myself, but it does give me funds in which to build upon in the future.

The company claims that when they do fully form they will see if I can be kept for fulltime work. But that is about a year or so away.

In the meantime, I have some other prospects. A company in Marry Lake, FL has expressed interest in me and I am following up with them. Although I won’t have any sort of definite answer from them until about two weeks.

My other back up is going back to school. My school just opened up its BA program and will give me a reduced rate of going because I am one of their alumni. So, in about 9 to 10 months I would have my BA. I like the idea of going back, because it will give me a chance to refine my skills, learn some new skills and with a BA I could actually teach art as a profession.

Either path I go down I think I shall do fine. These next three to four months should be filled with a great deal of changes for me.

Until next time faithful readers.
