Halloween's in little more than a week, and of course I'll be at Padma and her sister's birthday party. I've been thinking of a present, and while I did buy one on Hogsmeade weekend, I could always drag Anthony out from whatever corner he'll try to hide himself

I hope so, too! Vu is where I spend most of my time these days. You and Su Li should have told me you guys were going to join. I would have bought you the laptops myself!

But I thought you two were--oh. Oh. You broke up again, didn't you? And I'm being very inconsiderate by talking about her, aren't I? I'm sorry! It's just I haven't spoken to either of you in such a long time since my vu laptop and I are practically attached at the hip and then with all the party planning... I didn't even welcome Su yet.

It's not that big a deal, Lav. I mean, we do it all the time, don't we? And, anyway, it's been at least a month, and I need to start fishing again. I miss her. A lot. She's around here somewhere.

There are plenty of single girls and boys at Hogwarts. You'll find someone! I mean, you're almost as pretty as me or the Patil twins. It shouldn't be too hard to attract a new partner on looks alone. And you have an absolutely brilliant personality, so there'll be cause for them to stick around.
