Demicon 28 is over!
This last weekend, I was down in Des Moines at the Demicon science fiction convention. I needed a con----this last month or so has been unpleasant, what with unexpected trouble with my furnace and ongoing griefs and woes with my dryer.
I wasn't familiar with the Guests of Honor, but I was mainly there to see people I don't normally get to see. I finally got a chance to talk to one of my best guy friends without his wife right there, and I was grateful for the chance.
Wouldn't you bloody well KNOW it, the weather all weekend was beautiful! I felt rather guilty spending it indoors.
