Last Tuesday, I went down to Des Moines to interview for a job with a magazine support firm. I took the wrong exit off of 235, and then got badly tangled up in a slew of little side-streets. I think Daedalus laid a lot of that damn town out. I did find the place, though, and the interview and typing test went fairly well, I thought.
Friday, I went to DMSFS. After the meeting, we went to an Italian place we haven't eaten at before. The food was good (at least my lasagna was) but I thought it was awfully pricey for what we got. I tried a dish I'd never tried before. I'd seen the anchors on Naked News doing Creme Brulee in "The Naked Foodie," and it looked good, so when I saw it on the dessert menu, I ordered it. I quite liked it. Even so, I am not sure I'll want to go back to that place.
We've been having problems with flooding here and there in Iowa. Not as bad as 1993 or 2008, but bad enough to be going on with. I would love to send all the water to California.
