Gunn and Lorne are cool, no denying it. And I'm really starting to develop an unexpected love of Cordelia. I like the new hotel set, the one-shot psychic abused chick episode (although YES, the show's main theme is daddy issues, got it by now kthx!), and the humor is getting less stilted and unfunny by leaps and bounds.
But I have to put up with a whole season of the one vampire character from Buffy I actively disliked? I loved Dru. I liked Spike. I was ambivalent towards Angel. But bloody Darla?
*headdesk*
I'm fast-forwarding through any scene with her in it I can get away with. It's the breathy voice and the baby-doll statutory rape demeanor, they make me throw up a little in my mouth.
I'm working on a MASSIVE post of book recommendations just because I can; that may go up tomorrow or the next day.
In other news, wheeee Christmas! :D

ETA: "Dear Boy" = gag me with a spoon. Oh pooh pooh, flashbacks, they had loads of not-as-kinky-as-they-think-they-are sex and were lamely evil with bad accents. (Darla never even tried for an accent, which makes no sense as America had not been founded when she was sired). Kate, two pieces of advice: fire your new hairstylist and grow a spine and/or brain and/or a fucking pair. Darla, shut up. I know about Connor because I was spoiled YEARS ago, so I can fast forward through this plot, right?
And OMG I can't believe I didn't make the connection between Lindsey McDonald and Talentless Asshole Chris Kane, childhood Texan friend of Jensen Ackles! Along with Jason Manns and Steve "Shiny Chest" Carlson, Chris Kane is
never on topic. God, I love
