Except I added my last two 5-7 page research papers to my word count at the last minute out of desperation, because I had 12K left to go (as of the 30th) and I wrote 8K of it in one sitting and then it was 11:30 and I was like, Fuuuuuuck. So I don't really feel satisfied that I actually won. However, time spent writing those research papers would have been spent on NaNo if I had had the chance, so my wordcount does accurately reflect the amount of writing I did in November. (Well, actually I wrote a lot more; there were some other papers and about 34 nonfiction & poetry critiques I didn't count in.)
But I've finished 8 chapters, some of which are way too long, and I worry that a lot of the characters are OOC or that the plot isn't justified enough, and that it's taking too long to get to a climax and that I don't really know what the point of the action of the climax is or even what's really going to happen. I don't have my villain or his motivation yet. *headdesk* BUT. It's about 46,000 words worth of crack crossover goodness, and it may be another 46,000 before it's done. (With alternate chapters for porn *coughwordcountpaddingcough*, for those who ask. It's like choose-your-own-adventure!)
Ehhh. My extra userpics are running out and I don't know if I want to give 6A or LJ any more of my money. But I'll miss my icons. (Although... the flagging solution is pretty much retarded, but it also leaves us free to continue to post pretty much whatever. If they leave that in place, I might stick around.)
And now for finals. (Does it ever end?)
