Looking forward to the long weekend.
Long weekend coming up! I'm looking forward to it, it has so much potential. I could do laundry, dishes, cleaning, D&D, Bard on the Beach, hiking, running, cycling, see Batman again, go to Pt. Roberts, drink wine on the blacony, rack the beer, catch up on sleep...
Of course we have a test on Monday when we get back.
I'm upset I haven't talked to Dad recently. We've never been particularly good at talking on the phone but for some reason the 40 min commute from my place to his is more of an obstacle than I thought it would be. I think I will invite him and Anna and Tabby and Geoff over for dinner some time next week. The place is still *kind of* clean from when I had the Odyssey team over. I was hoping Dad would be going camping this weekend and I could tag along but I haven't heard anything from him. I guess I should call ;)
Sean invited me to hang out with him on Saturday but I told him I was hoping to be out of town (with Dad).
If I do want to get out of town I still can. Joel invited me to go down to Pt.Roberts with a bunch of his friends. It could be a very nice weekend except that I don't know anyone and meeting new people is always a little stressful for me. On the other hand it's a chance to take some very nice walks and go swimming, maybe do a little reading or writing (if it doesn't make me look too anti-social).
The beer needs to be racked no matter what I do I guess what I do will just determine the day it gets racked. This batch is an India Pale Ale. The last batch (Wildberry Wheat) should be just about ready to drink... maybe we'll test when we rack this batch. Also, the first batch (Cream Ale) has matured nicely and really tastes, well, like beer should.
Decisions, decisions :)
Oh, and at some point I should go for a run in my new running shoes. Cuz it's not like it's been 3 weeks or anything...
