York co. code on operating hours of a nightclub.....

Aparently public comment isn't on the adjenda for the last meeting, but will be at the next meeting on 5/15 at 6pm.

in the meantime, I did pick up some interesting things. Like, York co. code on operating hours in regards to a nightclub or dancehall (as the county code now refers to the pub as)

Sec. 3-25. Operating hours.

"Any dance hall permitted hereunder shall remain open only between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. on weekdays and between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight on Saturday, except that the county administrator may extend operating hours one hour earlier and/or one hour later for any day which precedes or falls within a legal holiday or a day which is not followed by a day on which the public schools of the county are to be operated on a regular basis."

Notice that no where in the text does it allow the county administrator (or board of supervisors) to cut the hours a nightclub is open, it does give them the authority to extend the hours. I think this issue should be brought up.
