So...

New job starting soon. Hopefully I get at least a couple weeks of UI soon. Hopefully it's actually direct deposited and they don't actually send out a physical check. I DO recall filling out the forms initially with bank and routing information so that's not a totally unreasonable expectation.

Prepping 2 paid gigs at WHS and JFK which will happen in the next couple weeks. With rehearsals and everything. Wow, you'd almost thing this was what I do for a living. It's not. Granted, it's not such a bad sideshow gig either, but hell, I forgot how bad it was reading Broadway musical charts, which coincidentally, look NOTHING like the songs sound on the sountracks. Regardless, I play piano, probably the easiest thing to fake on the fly. Especially considering I'm being called in as ringer literally inside of 2-3 weeks before first curtain.

House is still kinda iffy, though at least the library is habitable again. And we have the SNES AND the N64 working, so long as we keep swapping cables. So I'm playing the N64 version of Harvest Moon again... the first one I'd ever played. Hell, I still remember how skeptical I was of the concept of that game, buying it, and then subsequently, not being able to put the damn thing down for weeks.

Hopefully in the time being, things start to come together. After these gigs, I'll have at least SOME money with which to start repairing my office computer. Of course, now the question is that once I replace my drive, what do I do? Another straight Windows installation, a straight Ubuntu install, or a dual boot install (because I LOVE having to deal with prepping a dual boot. Granted this process seems pretty easy).

Life is pretty all right, I suppose, albeit ridiculously busy.
