Contest and Contest Results
Ok here’s the result for the contest and information on decision. Very beneficial to read. Yes there’s another poll in there, and it would really help if you voted.
Ok tally time *Counts the votes* So it seems that there will be prizes, the contest will be every 2 weeks. We’ll have both fiction and icon contests, and of course the community will judge. tad_cost has volunteered to set up polls because tad_cost has a paid account and this community *Sweatdrop* is free. Now some of you who voted wanted an art contest as well, I want to test the icon and fiction tests first and get those set up. Then we can have an art vote and set that one up too. But for now x_x lets try to keep it simple...for now at least.
Ek now for the tricky part…prizes mhh…well whimsy_chan and tad_cost suggested custom_banners. I think it would be a good idea to get them to do prizes, we also have our lovely whimsy_chan volunteering but only if other people help to. I could probably devote sometime to it but my skillz are pretty shitty so it wouldn’t make much of a prize. But hell if you guys don’t mind, I’ll do it. A little more help would be nice.
Now I did promise a second set of polls. Just to final things up.

[ ] Moderator decides the theme of icon and fiction
[ ] Community decides the theme for fiction, moderator decides the theme for icon
[ ] Moderator decides the theme for fiction, Community decides the theme for icon
(Remember that voting takes time to do, and you’ll have to do it regularly if you choose for the community to decide. It’ll be quicker for moderator to set the decision, and don’t think that means I’m not open to suggestions. You can suggest at the end of every contest and the next day there’s a good chance it’ll be chosen. If you choose for the community to vote on it, you can’t count on suggestions or participation. You also have to wait longer for the theme)
Now for the calendar I’d say that at the end of every second week(Sunday) a new theme for fiction and icon is set up, then you guys have two weeks to do something. Yes I know this is a little long for iconists, but just bare with it. I don’t think it’ll kill any of you to wait. On the Friday of the second week, submission closes (and so people have time to read your stuff I suggest you try to get it up as soon as possible). From Friday-Sunday on the second week you guys vote, and on Sunday I’ll tally it and announce the winner. Hope that works for everyone.
Also we need suggestions so we can get the first fiction and icon contest underway as soon as possible.
