Would Ukoku kill Koumyou?

Hmmmmm.... I think that he would if he was sufficiently provoked to or challenged. I actually think that it's kinda Koumyou's fault that Ukoku went evil... We saw from Burial that Kenyu was a lot more sensitive than Ukoku... what with crying after killing people and stuff... I get the feeling that he looked up to Koumyou so much (especially by the time the bet rolled around.... Ukoku is so adorable then...) that he would have been a nice little Ukoku from then on if Koumyou had asked him properly... but Koumyou didn't, Koumyou pretty much challenged him to a contest to the death.... which can't be good for the psyche.

I guess what I'm saying is that if Ukoku was in the right sort of mental state he would kill Koumyou... but he wouldn't just do it out of the blue for no reason, since he seems to practically worship (I'd say he almost seems like he's in love some of the times) him...

Was Ukoku the one that sent demons after Koumyou?

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaard to say... I'm still not quite sure on that one. I want to say that Ukoku did, but he expected Koumyou to be able to beat them and didn't really think they'd "kill" him (I've babbled enough about that, though! XD)... I think that if Ukoku really wanted Koumyou dead he'd do it himself... or you could take the angle that he wanted him dead but couldn't bear to do it himself so sent lackies...

If it wasn't Ukoku, then I'm actually inclined to think that Koumyou engeneered it himself so he could fake his own death and dash...

Yeah. He could of been a nice little keep to himself porn writing perv. You know maybe Koumyou's a bit more twisted then we all believe. Manipulating everyone. But anyway, I agree with you, I think Koumyou had a big part in making Ukoku evil-ish. I don't think Ukoku cried for the people he killed though. He was crying for himself. Sad that he couldn't be 'eaten'. So.. ok, perhaps ukoku wasn't so pure to begin with. Hell ok yeah Kenyuu was evil, but he did seem to worship Koumyou. I think you're right that Ukoku could kill Koumyou if he was in the right mental state and he found it would be benificial to himself.

Did ukoku send the demons? Hard to tell. We'd have to try to guess about 'when' did ukoku join with big evil demon dude. Would Kou's little 'family' with their 'staff of scientiest' be able to put together a death ray minus wave all by themselves? Those demons were blood thirsty when they attacked Koumyou. Which means the minus ray had been activated i'm guessen. So i think it went a little something like.. ukoku joined up with king-demon-dude's team, set up the minus wave, and had his minions! knock off koumyou to get the bet rolling. Why get the bet rolling? Koumyou wont kill Ukoku. Who will? I say Kouryuu! Right! So, rub out Koumyou, give Kouryuu a vengful motive, and a couple odd years later and one hell of a jouney west Genjo vs Dr.Ni, and Ni gets a good 'ol bullet through his head and his dream finally come true. 'somene eats him'

o_O crazy...maybe

Well... since apparently (according to Sanzo, at least) only Sanzos know about the "all the sutras together make SUPER POWER!11!!" thing, he's gotta be the one that came up with the idea.

Personally, I think he engineered the whole thing from the start. After all, Houtou castle was sealed by Heaven, and what else but the power of Heaven (á la the sutra) could break Heaven's seal?

Ukoku has the Muten scripture which means 'void heaven' or something. I wonder if that has anything to do with it. yeah or maybe i'm grabbing at straws.
