Remember
last week when I said I wanted to figure out how to get out of my comfort zone? Well I stepped up my game. I went to a wine-bar after I got my haircut last week. I walked in very hungry. An hour and a half later, I had consumed almost an entire bottle of wine, eaten a bowl of peanuts, and got a phone number from a 40-year-old guy. No, I didn't ask for it - he just gave it to me. I finished the bottle at home, ate a piece of pizza and went to bed. All in all, a great night.
I've really enjoyed my dance classes and I've started to notice a positive changes in my body. I don't remember the last time my legs were this muscular. When I worked out with Leo? When I still took Irish Dance? Not really sure. One of my favorite pairs of pants is loser but another pair is tighter. I think my thighs are bulking up a little - which is good but bad. And today, one of the dancers said, "You look really good." I bought a scale yesterday and weighed myself this morning. And...I've lost 5 pounds! The real reason I'm taking classes is to get in shape in a fun way while improving flexibility. Losing weight is a side benefit. But it's a great benefit!
