"Is he trying to attack something?" "Yeah, my eye."

I am now the "proud" owner of dark, tinted, material that slides between my glasses and my eyes. The material acts like sunglasses, since I don't have sunglasses that attach to my glasses. You might be saying to yourself, "I didn't know she wore glasses," and you'd be right. I don't normally wear glasses. But, my eye started really bothering me Monday night, so I switched to glasses, and scheduled an appointment with my eye doctor yesterday. I have an ulcer, which is evidently really serious. I did some quick Google research, and discovered that you can go blind in 24-48 hours from an ulcer, but it does depend on the type. He's treating it like it's a worse-case scenario, and has me putting drops in my eyes constantly. I'm going back for a follow-up tomorrow.

My contacts, contact lens cases, eye makeup, and brushes all got pitched. There's a fear of contamination if the ulcer is bacterial. Since my eye doesn't hurt nearly as bad as it used to, I'm taking a guess and saying that it's not bacterial. That's what I'm really hoping for anyway. But I have very strict instructions to see the doctor today if it feels worse.

Evidently the prescription dosage is a bit high. The pharmacist talked to me before she gave me the prescription. One drop every 15 minutes for 2 hours and then 1 drop every hour for 2 days seemed a bit intense to me too, but I just figured that's cause I don't normally have to put drops in my eyes. Once I explained what was going on, she understood. Here's hoping the prescription works and that I'm given a clean bill of health when I go back tomorrow.
