"You cannot be mad at somebody who makes you laugh - it's as simple as that." --Jay Leno
He's partially correct. What he fails to realize here is that if the person matters, you will be more or less likely to be mad at them. If what they did was silly, and they make you laugh, you'll be likely to shrug it off. But if what they did was truly horrible, and they make you laugh, you'll laugh while wondering what they were thinking and if your friendship ever mattered, etc.
I hate accounting. Well, I hate reading about it, doing homework, taking tests, etc. Other than that it doesn't matter to me much one way or the other. I also don't like our book, which tries to convince you that accounting really isn't all that bad with it's decent-size print, colorful pictures, and objectives spread throughout the chapters. But the book didn't fool me. It's just a bunch of words strung together, talking about debiting and crediting various accounts. The book tries to be friendly because it has to reuse the same words over and over again, and knows that will confuse students. And this student is confused. And frustrated. And while I scored 100% on Chapter 1's homework, I couldn't tell you what we learned. I understood some problems, but as I answered others, I hadn't a clue why the answer was the answer. 5 more weeks.
