High School Quotes

I used a day-planner of sorts when I was in high school to keep track of homework, phone numbers, and the birthday of my crush at the time. I came across it while cleaning out my spare bedroom, and figured I should get them in electronic format before throwing out my day-planner. You'll recognize some of them, and I don't have the author for all of them, and I'm going to be lazy and not look them up. But I think you'll like them. My apologies if I misquote someone.

"Act well your part for there all honor lies."

"Love your life, poor as it is." --Thoreau

"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer." --Thoreau

"Today is the tomorrow you were worrying about yesterday."

"We are at the end of one event, but the beginning of many many more."

"To thine own self be true."

"We are all actors on this wide stage of life. What will your verse be?"

"When one door closes, another door normally open. But often we look so hard at the closed door that we don't see the open one."

"Life is pain."

"Pain is weakness leaving the body."

"When anyone cries, whether in happiness or sorrow, God is near."

"Those who love much hurt much."

"Those who hurt the most emotionally love the most."

"The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world's deeper hunger meet." --Frederick Buechner

I found more quotes in my scrapbook box, and since I'm cleaning, they're getting removed from the box. But clearly I liked them enough to put them in my scrapbook box, so I want to preserve them in electronic format.

"Roads are for journeys, not destinations." --Anna and the King

"In war, innocent people die." --Anna and the King

"I just want to be with a man who'll ignore me, and take me for granted, and who's only pretending to be interested in who I am and what I think so he can get into my pants." --Bedazzled

"It's a fool that looks for logic in the chambers of the human heart."

Tomorrow, my favorite quotes from Les Miserables. Next week: the personality profile I put together in high school, followed a current personality profile.
