I completely procrastinated on my homework this weekend. I skipped the gym Monday to do homework, but just did the required reading. It was only a chapter, so I don’t have a good excuse for not doing the rest of it. I did a 30 minute cardio workout yesterday before heading home for homework. I'm impressed that I'm getting the applications to work correctly. I don't necessarily understand how everything fits together if I just read the book, but I do much better once I start playing around with it. However, I’m somewhat amused by the fact that I’m forgetting some of the basic stuff we covered last week. I think that’s just cause I’m not in VB 24/7, so it still doesn’t come naturally to me. Hopefully by the end of this course I won’t be going back to Chapter 2 to remind myself how to add hot keys to the app.
My sister comes home in 6 days, assuming her plane’s not grounded for some reason. I’m so excited. Excited beyond belief. I get this big-ass grin on my face when I talk about it or think about it. I definitely need to make sure I have my homework done before then so we can spend quality time together! Then I’m on break for 2 weeks and can take full advantage of her being home. Eeeep!
In Christmas related news, I haven’t decorated my apartment. I have no plans to do so, actually. The first year we were in our apartment, my mom gave us all her old Christmas decorations that she wasn’t using. There were about 3 boxes of them. I inherited my parents first Nativity Scene, which has seen better days but gets the job done. But, I still have no plans to put it up. I’m not having people over for a party. If friends happen to drop by they may comment on my lack of decorations, but they won’t care. I’m just not motivated to do it. Who knows, someone might yell at me and change my mind, but it’s doubtful. I am excited to see my parents house, though. There’s a certain familiarity about the Christmas decorations that I love. Each decoration has its place, and if anyone tries to move it to a different spot the whole family is in an uproar. My mom has the final say, though, so if she wants the tree to be on the left instead of the right that’s where it’ll be! Maybe I’ll go to my parents to help decorate the house. Perhaps that’ll inspire me to decorate my own place.
