It never ceases to amaze me, The POWER of PRAYER. It is absolutely true "Ask, and ye shall receive."
Obviously, this is an extremely stressful time of my life. I've always been a person to pray, not only when I need something - but because I feel moved to do it, I feel like it creates the changes. But now I just pray more, and more, and MORE. The MORE I pray, MORE BLESSINGS, MORE UNDERSTANDING, MORE LOVE, JUST...MORE! That is not to say I don't have run-ins with adversity - I do. But whenever it rears it's ugly head, so too does the beautiful light of VICTORY appear! I owe everything to the Creator. I know that the DIVINE SPARK burns within me, ready to be nurtured, stoked, and coaxed into a FULL ON FIRE. Only this fire cannot rage out of control. It is completely within my power to create that which will not only benefit me, but those I come in contact with. I'm able to share it, to spread it, and that is truly a wonderful and beautiful thing.
I may lose my footing sometimes, I may get knocked down sometimes - BUT I WON'T STAY DOWN. It reminds me of a poem I wrote quite some time ago, which I will now post here.
Submerged in the darkness, I long only for light. Lonely, I am held against my will. Surrounded by bitter enemies, I no longer know who I am.
The love I once knew, swept away by the wind. Hopelessness fills the void in my soul, where joy once stood.
Alone on the hill, I face the battlefield below. Greedy are the souls of the living - and of the dead. Eager are they to steal the fire that burns within me.
From all sides they approach; bold yet fearful of the lonesome soul which stands before them.
They dare not look me in the eye; dare not reach out against my flesh.
My anguish is not theirs to feast upon. My WILL remains unbroken.
I stand upon the Hill of Destiny; protected by God and covered with Grace.
Strength is my constant companion. Courageous of heart, and Faithful of soul - the foundation of my existence.
Know that Truth stands tall, and this House shall never fall.
