Dreams...

Last week (Friday) I had my first exam - Roman Lit. Thankfully after all the revision there were more than three questions I could answer. I am not sure at all, however, if the answers were of sufficient quality. Thinking back on them now they seem juvenile and lacking. This worries me less than I thought it would, however. These exams mean far less than what I have actually learnt, and I am very confident in that knowledge.

Now I am revising for Greek Archaeology on the 18th, Greek Lit on the 22nd and Roman Art (Arghhhhh) on the 25th. And then it's all over...and I can actually have some time to relax properly.

Strangely, given all the time I spend with my nose burried in classical books, I seldom dream of the period. Last night, however, I had the second 'classical' dream so far. It was impressively innacurate (I have seen low budget American things get closer...I mean Xena looked like an exam text in comparison) and weird. I was a barbarian (of course) and was in posession of a huge sword (ahem) made of balsa wood. Yes yes, I am aware of the Freudian significance, and it should be telling of my general opinion of my own male potency. If Stalin means man of steel, I shall have to be Balsin, man of balsa. Anyway, apparently the fight was epic and written about by several sources. I died (strangely) and stood as a symbol of barbarian stupidity. Yep...that's me.

Anyway, back to revision. I can't wait for the 26th and complete freedom for a little while at least.
