Yesterday I had to take some shots of a new nail system for my sister (the nail artist/nail technician/spray tannist/reflexologist). They are bio sculpture gel enhancement fabrication addition...shine...er...things. I rather enjoyed having the opportunity to take some shots to a brief...although light was a problem. It's definitely in the shadows. I'll just see if I can find a close up for you.



The main problem with them is that my mum's nails aren't great, and the flesh coloured part of the nail is actually see-through material. The bio sculpture range also includes a coloured gel (much like the white tip) which will cover with an opaque colour whilst not chipping or flaking like polish. The bumps must be to do with the reflections, as they were very smooth...in fact, the course she went on praised her for her skill with keeping surfaces flat.

I wasn't criticising your sisters skill at all, just saying as an image, the second one would not sell her skill properly, because of shadows I guess.

I do know about the gel nail procedure, much better then standard acrylic, in my mind.

Emma prefers acrylic, strangely. I know precious little about the processes and histories of them. I'd rather spend my money on books and have mucky nails ;)
