I do not play Warcraft any more. I think those days are done and gone forever and not much will sinpire me to play again. It was a very fun game but, like drugs or a hardcore cult, it stops you seeing your real friends and makes you a lifeless, personallity devoid cretin who gibbers in a strange alien language - for instance, does 'LFG L24Loc 2 TDM' mean any thing to any one here? Just me? Good. Lets keep it that way.
Saying that however I AM a big movie buff and still a fanboy at heart of various core cult-pop essences that have been in my life, so when I heared that they were making a WoW movie . . . I actually was not that interested. BUT looking up on this movie today I found this gem of infomation about the project.
---------
The live-action film was set for release in 2009,[6] but is not likely to make release in 2009 based on quotes from Blizzard president Mike Morhaime.[7]
On July 22, 2009, Blizzard Entertainment announced that Sam Raimi would become the Warcraft movie director. Sam Raimi is the famed director for the blockbuster series, Spider-Man, and has generated 5 Academy Awards nominations in his career. Raimi also wrote and directed the cult classic The Evil Dead and its two sequels, and produced 30 Days of Night. He also recently wrote and directed the thriller Drag Me To Hell. In addition to film, Raimi has worked in television, producing such fantasy series as Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.[4]

Sam Raimi? REALLY?! That would be . . . bizare. I could understand Peter Jackson with his LoTR under his belt and Warcraft is essentially the same but a step away from LoTR's Good Vs Evil story and more about the ferociousness of the world and its never ending conflicts. On the other hand he did make Spider-Man a worth while franchise and he is a good director in his own right so you never know.
People who know me will know that if I was to hate Uwe Boll any more then I already do the foundations of the earth would split along the leylines, the great volcanic pressure of my rage would spew forth the great cleansing magma of mother Earth, boiling the oceans and forcing ash into the air turning the sky into an eternal blanket of night.
THIS next bit however is what made me smile . . .
----------
Uwe Boll attempted to apply for the job of director, from which Blizzard CEO Paul Sams replied "We will not sell the movie rights, not to you…especially not to you."

BURNED!
