I awoke at five-thirty this morning. Just as wide and awake as possible.
Anyway. I am listening to Two Weeks :: All That Remains
I like this song, because it reminds me of the fight in the Heaven versus Hell between Naomi, Ulta, Light, myself, and with Cain and Abel. I remember squaring off against the ice-wielding entity--I think it was Abel I was against. There was a storm as well, which was weirdish since I've never seen a Snow "storm" in person. Raven was in Full Astral Virtue Armor--a lovely mirage of Blue and Gold~! She was still angry over Jin killing her brother-like creature. She wanted him to know more than anything that she never gave up on him after he died. And I remember the timing in which she had jumped across the roof to another building and Abel was following her making a bridge of Ice. As soon as she landed, she back-flipped off the ledge and shattered the bridge. It transpired, through Raven's eyes, in slow motion as she was falling. The guitar rift for the song was playing. And I dunno. It was beautiful timing. If I could animate that scene and put to music, I think it'd looked amazing.
Also reminds me of when I was training with Light and Wyndom against Rogziel. Scorpiox from the Clash of the Titans reboot described -that- fight sequence perfectly. From Rogziel roaring and spewing lightning, to removing his wings and Wyndom subduing him until he reverted back to his Human form.
On the Precipice of Defeat from the Bleach soundtrack reminds me of when Raven fell unto the K.A.N.Z.A.K.I. mode. It's like being cut off, and watching yourself kill. Raven begged and pleaded and tried not to let it take over, but it was pretty pointless. She had been given an order to kill. And now her body, like a marionette, was being manipulated by forces outside her control. It had been fine until her children came into the scene. And Raven's cries and pleads as she felt her body moving for them instilled such a terrifying fear in her. Next thing you know, the air is filled with terrible screaming and she realizes she cut her son's head off, and set her daughter on fire because they interfered with her target. Everyone present just stood and watched, shell-shocked and paralyzed in fear that was capable of doing it without hesitating. It was a very lovely moment. I'm too deep into the morbid things.
Aha! The Ballad of the Blue Flower. I think of Raven and Desmond and their strangely shy flirting after she arrived at the Guild. At the time, Raven had no set love interest, and Desmond was just so chivalrous. I think this song chronicles their budding interests quite well. It's very shy and innocent and at times, comical and sad. Desmond was the last thing Raven saw before she had been murdered anyway. Even though nothing came of it when Raven left to join light in the Heaven versus Hell arc, it's memories she wont ever forget.
I like this one. Becoming a Geisha--John Williams. I think of all the training that happened between when Roan found Raven being wild and crazy, to how she became more mature and jaded about the world post OXY. I like this, because, it's a song for metamorphosis, and that is what happened for Raven. She was able to get a grip on her abilities, her emotions, and became closer to Roan because of it. You feel progress in the song.
The Concept of Love! If A.V.G. were an anime and each character had their own song for the opening, this would be Raven's. Just because. Well shoot. Love is her strongest virtue. And she's always ready to kick some ass. xD
If there was a comical fight sequence for when Raven and Corvinus first met--because he -hated- her guts then, and was very much trying to kill her. White Stripe's Conquest would definitely be their song. Because, he tried to kill her. And he definitely failed the moment he looked into her eyes. BOOM. Fell in love.
Hmm...Guilty Sky--the ballad version. This reminds me of a scene I intend to take place after they battle Chaos. It will be reserved for when Raven meets her children again, and subsequently her mother and father. The song itself reflects on how being trapped and alone, feeling love and the start of pain, wanting to be forgiven and being strong. It will make for a very nice reunion. Guilty Sky is one of my favorite songs in a very long time. I listen to it any time I feel meloncholy. It was the song Cephas chose for me because he said I had a very strong spirit.
Guilty Sky itself as a very strange mix between the Gothic, Rock and the Orient. I choose the main rock version of it to be Raven's themesong. I refer the English version to the Japanese.
Derezzed. I think of OXY, and the electronic part of Raven's brain when I hear this. I think of how OXY works. Command Sequence, Execute, Directory, Archive. Very computerized, follow, programmed. The very graceful and swift way of showing off Raven's Neo-humanistic abilities.
In the Land of Twilight. Aah. .//Hack Sign. Gotta love it. I think of Matreya in it's moment of Chaos and Destruction. When I hear this song, I think of all the mindsets of Raven singing it. Creating a Harmonious song, deviating into their different parts. It resonates with the chaotic time with Raven herself, the depth of her fragile mind, and how she can easily slip into deranged train of thought because of the extensive use of Psychokinesis, and the traumas of her own life, from being exiled, to being reformed as a Neohuman, to losing her children and people close to her, and so on.
Duvet. If The Concept of Love were Raven's opening thing. Duvet would be the ending theme. It reminds me of when Pierce was so terrified of her, for what she did to their children. It highlights Raven's losses in life. It hints at her guilt and her abilities of what she can do, what she is. How she doesn't -mean- to cause this misery, but in the end, it happens. Inside, Raven is very much falling apart. She carries a great guilt. I also like it's ties to drowning, and how that resonates, metaphorically speaking--to Raven's Cardinal element being Water, and how she is, in a way, "drowning" herself in her sorrow. She just needs someone to help her to breathe. But like a very calm lake, the surface is clear, calm, reflective. You would never know something was going on beneath the surface.
Memory of Fanelia. I do enjoy this violin. Raven herself talks of how playing the Violin is the easiest way to express her emotions when there is no other way. She reflects on her heritage, her feelings of being exiled, how she grew up in that short time. Matreya through her eyes, as she remembers it.
>_> Every magical girl needs a transformation song!I always thought that if Raven were in the process of reverting to Astral Virtue Guardian, Darude's Feel the Beat would work. It's full of energy, and it's a story-like song if you can match it the right way. Raven, in a sense, feels a beat--a heart beat, all all the emotions that swim with it that invoke her Virtue and allow her to transform.
If Duvet weren't an ending song, the Flavor of Life would be--ballad version. What's your flavor?
The Flower of Hsin-JIang! Ironically...when I FIRST think of this song. I think of Sango from InuYasha. I always liked her character. But for some reason, this song strikes me as a traveling song. I think of Raven riding on Takara, traveling with the Convey back to St. Anne.
The Garden of Everything. This song is -strictly- for Raveena. Which is lovely, because Raveena means the Sun. Which...is a Star. A daylight Star. =D
Guard Break. A song from Adrian--which I requested he make more than thirty-seconds of the song, and make it a song for Raven. I think of Raven in full attack! Gung ho and glory and all that hardcore shit.
The World. Another .//Hack Sign song. I think of Corvus for this one. On a Battlefield, ready to attack. It's a moment of Psychology. A moment where Raven sinks into herself, and lets her darkness take over. She shuts herself off from everyone, from everything. She relies strictly on the Pentalaws of Guardianship. No remorse, and a sense of derangement. She enjoys the kill. She enjoys rising to the challenge, because she knows she can win. Then she's off! On the offensive, a strong offensive. Dancing with a blade--BloodReign,
Hiro no Tsuki--House of Moon. Another song for Raveena. Raven gets her love of the Violin from the resonating spirit of Raveena. This is a song about love! There is something very innocent, yet not so much, with Raveena. She has lived through Raven's eyes, and is just as well aware of the jaded feelings as Corvus. But Raven retains an air of diplomacy. The pain has turned into something of a gentle kindness, and it is that kind nature that allows Raven to be empathetic, and why a lot of people naturally gravitate to her. With Raveena, everything is passionate and genuine.
The Lover's Garden. A very strange change of song. This is definitely a love melody. But it's more Chinese-oriented than Japanese. The feelings still remain. This is another show of the strange relationship between Raven and Roan. Their love is quite forlorn yet peaceful and silent. It is just an--if you'll humor me--acoustic version of the Lovers song.
I Belong To You! I very much love Muse. They have a lot of radical themes and I've loved this song from the start. If Roan could ever find ways to tell Raven how he felt, this would be a very good song for him.
End of the World. This is actually one from Kingdom Hearts. When Raven got into the Heaven versus Hell arc, I felt this song made me think about some of the placed Raven ended up. Like the World Between Gates that Kira and she ended up in, with it's weird sky that rippled like Water, and the crazy moon that was detrimental to Kira--he was a Werewolf of some kind. The bizarre Forest. It was very awe-inspiring, and disjointed. Very Wonderland-ish to me.
The Maidens of Tea Mountain is a very good song for Raven. A very Yuna-esque sequence where Raven teaches Toma how to summon Ryuuzaki, the Water Serpent. Raven comes from a race of people who dance, and in this very way, she dances on the water. The water itself snakes and spirals very magestically weaving the Water Serpent to life in the air over her. Just before she can complete the act, she allows the Summoning to slip, and it rains over them. I like this melody because it explores the passion feels in the dance. She's very loyal to the Matreyan way in that sense, and it is a form of art for her, one that took a long time to master.
...what the Hell am I typing about?
.__. I just realized I went on a complete rant over songs...
...again.
[ Facepalm. ] Now I'm going to be late for work if I don't hurry and get ready...
