You would have thought that she would have learned by now. Strange things were to be avoided, and heroism not even attempted. But, somewhere in her ancestry there must have been an idiot, which is how Morwen found herself lost in the mist one morning.

She had got to know the area pretty well through her wanderings, and when she found a stream that she could have sworn was not there before, she sat down on a handy boulder and considered.

Either she had got herself lost again, or her mun was up to something. The latter was the most likely.

Morwen canted her head to one side to look up at where the sky would be if it wasn't filled with mist.

"Are you going to tell me what this is about, or are you going to leave me in suspense?" she asked calmly.

There was silence. A rather sheepish silence, before a voice finally did speak.

"I was bored, I wanted to write, and I've been reading too much fantasy recently."

"So where have you taken me?" Morwen shook her head in what might have been resignation.

"I'm not entirely sure what the world is called, I don't think its ever named. But I do know that you're in Mallorea. At least, I think that's where I put you."

"Yes, I know what your geography is like. Are people going to try and kill me?"

"Are you going to be annoying them?"

"No."

"Then I highly doubt it."

"Why me?" Morwen asked, her tone tinged with theatricallity.

There was a pause, before a burst of laughter. "I think you're going to fit in quite well here."

Morwen waited for more commentary, but there was none. Obviously her mun had got bored and moved away elsewhere. Morwen rose to her feet and stared into the mist ahead of her, before she sat back down again. She would wait for it to clear before she moved on.
