I was quite disappointed by the results of the enchantment. Distraction, confusion, mis-direction. Put an elephant on the stage without them noticing. Testing, testing... this way and that. The plan was simple in structure, Phase 1 test, learn weakness from without, don’t just sledgehammer in, subtlety was an art form, though of course not nearly as fun as torture and death. For now I would test them, expose their cracks, the cracks I would use to my advantage when the time came. Granted for the most part the Sins had done little to alter them from the norm, too much sin accepted but not embraced, but there were 1 or 2 points of interest. Note, learn, play.

I traced a fingertip across his jaw line, nipping at his neck as I went.

“What do you think my pretty?” He looked into my eyes, and I watched the stars in his dance, merrily.

He hadn’t whimpered, I liked that, strong, silent, dead men tell no tales was not true, dead men told a great many tales, however men without tongues told very few. He was my current play thing, for three days and nights I had pecked at him, nipped at his skin and played with his mind. He was almost ready to serve me to be let out, his dark skin glistened with sweat.

“Are you ready my pet?” I whispered

He nodded silently and I bit gently into his neck, he wanted me, I could tell, this was good, helped keep them loyal, make them love you, then serve you is all they will want to do.

I drank til his eyes closed gently, then ran my thimble across my wrist and held it over his mouth, letting the drops drip into his mouth. When he had had enough to change him, I left him to change in solitude.

We had only just begun the Opening. I was assessing their style and getting into position.

Except this time there were no exact rules as to who had to move next. Though technically it was my move.
