I feel obliged to post.

 That and I'm avoiding studying.

But news:
  • I'm not  a big fan of schedules, but I do find they help me organize my time and make sure I do certain things. So I finally decided it was necessary to plan out, to the day, when I should study what, or do which homework. I'm just hoping I don't have to get more specific than that to make sure everything gets done, but if I do, I do.
  • In between all that I'm managing to come up with and accomplish all sorts of little goals on a fairly regular basis. From learning to cook something, to specific things I decide I want to do before next week, to my sort of long-term project which I've picked up again, which is playing with my web page. My web page which I currently don't link to anywhere. That's because there's really no content, I'm just playing around to see what I can do.
  • I could really use a massage. Part of my job involves going from desk to desk and logging into multiple computers at once and doing stuff. Unfortunately this means it's easier to bend over to use the keyboard than it is to sit down. This is bad for my back.
  • Learning Japanese is fucking hard. Last semester was not so bad. This semester?
  • Politics: This lead up to the election is really irksome to me. Can't we just elect Obama president tomorrow? Why do we have to wait another month or so?
  • Les Savy Fav - Lets Stay Friends: The album that just keeps being good. I've been rockin' to it pretty consistently (but not constantly) since it came out. "You're goddamn right I resent the rent, not just the leases or the money spent, it's the way that it keeps me from the present tense, won't somebody meet me in the present tense?"
  • Women: Women! I am staying in touch with all sorts of women! Sisters, mothers, friends...others? Other really. Actually, Mother and sister are singular too. So why is it my male friends are harder to stay in touch with these days? Hasn't always been that way. Large part of why I need to go visit them.
  • I'm looking forward to a time when I have more specific responsibilities and less general/vague responsibilities. That way my free time won't be plagued by thinking about what I should probably be doing. I definitely benefit from clear and distinct separations of work and personal time.
  • I would also like more time for personal projects.
  • I have been congested and sneezey today. Am I developing allergies? I hope not.
  • It's supposed to get colder again (everything's relative). I'm excited about that! Low in the 50's tonight, high in the 80's tomorrow. Ah, Texas, Your weather patterns have such character! That's not always a good thing though (ugh, Texas summers).
Aaaaand that's enough rambling. I've wasted the required amount of time to begin working
