Ft Lee Is for Idiots
So, week two starts. I am no longer in the barracks. They placed me (this afternoon) into a Ramada Inn. No wireless or wired internet, so I am going with PeoplePC Online. =/ It will have to do, 10$ a month to keep in contact with all you lovely people.
I can't begin to describe how much I miss home. For the first time in my life, it is more than just noticable. It's tangible, a cloud of loneliness and depression that threatens to wash over me like the tide washes over the beach, day after day. I fight it off with busywork and new friends, but they aren't the old ones.
What you are all up to, I only wish I knew.
IRAQ UPDATE: I might be home for a week (maybe even two!) before I mobilize. However, my unit is trying to push time up to march (!!!) so, that might be lost in and of itself.
I of course, hope not. I want to see you all again before I vanish.
