2009 - 2010 Winter Workshops
The Shire of Wyewood once again will be sponsoring Armoured Combat Workshops from October through April. We hope to see many of you there!
October Winter Workshop - HE Sir Sagan from Artemisia, one of the Known World’s Best Trainers - He’s called “The Kingmaker” in the West - we are very lucky to have him come out twice to teach, the first time in October and then again in March.
October Class: Fighting - An Overall Perspective
SCA Combat - Sport or Martial Art? This session will deal with the many ways in which SCA combat can be viewed, as well as trained, practiced and performed. Common aspects, that occur each and every time we contest, will be discussed. In addition, ways in which to detect faults and how to apply correction will be presented. Some drills will be presented, and open combat sessions will be done to give everyone an opportunity to use their new found skills.
When: October 24, 2009: 10 am to 3 pm - the class usually starts in earnest around 10:15 to 10:30, so please be prompt!
