Time...
Alright.. It's been a while.. I know.. I rant to friends at work about stuff going on in my life, but I never post it here... So, here goes.. At this point in time I'm ??gainfully?? employed.. By Bell's food mart.. We've got a couple of slackers who want to work together when we get a truck, but never advance more than one aisle a day.. On top of that they work from eight in the morn to five in the afternoon and get an hour lunch. What I want to know is where do they get off working an hour on an aisle with a float with twenty, at most, pieces on it and take an hour doing it together. Something isn't right there. Another thing that bothers me at work is that like mquisdaddy, I am a slave to my job. The man only wants to pay us minimum wage. Minimum wage to stock shelves when the poverty level is almost three times minimum wage. How in the names of all that is right are we supposed to live on 5.85 an hour. On top of that the owner of the store we work for is a slave driver. He wants an 800+ piece truck put up in two hours by five stockers. If my math is correct that 100 cases an hout per stocker. Is this doable? Yeah, if you hyped us all up on something that would make us fly through the truck.. Not to mention that the two slackers are included in the number of stockers.. So, when I ask the boss for a raise, it seems he's ball-less when it comes to the owner, his son, and the other dickwad who runs the store. Especially when it comes to asking for raises. And for someone who has been working there, busting their ass for four months deserves more than a five cent raise... Shit, one of the managers only makes 7.25/hour.. So, how in hell are we supposed to get ahead like this? Also, I feel as though I'm just someone most of the people work with and put up with because I'm there. No one seems to want to hang out.. If we had the money that is... I just feel like a ghost most of the time. Someone who's there to see but never speak to or get to know. But that's just my view. Hell, we can't even buy food for ourselves, nor are we allowed to eat while we work unless we're on break. We were eating at the deli for free, until someone ruined it. And although our managers' are not assholes, the owner and captain dickwad are. But, maybe this is just my view. I'd like to get our business off the ground. Then maybe we can get some actual income coming in. But, until then.. Hit me up later.. (Mental note: Write in this journal more.)
