BBQ = Goodness
I had such a wonderful great time last night! Well, first, I was super stressed out and angry with my son, and then everything fell into place and the night went perfectly great.
Vince was kind enough to cook EVERYTHING for me while I ran around talking to everyone and feeling very loved. Elizabeth made a terrific salsa, I made excellent potato salad, Phyllis brought Kaleigh and some yummy melon, Bobby brought a nice friend named Lily and some marinated steak, and Lorin brought Johny and a bunch of firewood so we could rock out by the small fire pit in my back yard. Alika never made it, but Joel did, so that was cool. All in all, it was a truly magnificent time, and I am still all warm and overwhelmed by how freaking great my friends are. I really thought nobody would come except for Elizabeth and Vince, but I didn't get to bed until 3AM because I was so wrong. YAY!
Raven's friends (Isaac, Willee, Tommy, Nic) showed up and hung out for a while (and ate up the green Peeps I keep around to do science experiments on - I can't believe people actually EAT those things!). Raven even cleaned everything up for me when it was all over, the nice lad. I love that boy!
Now I have a fridge full of meat and leftover potato salad and salsa. Leftover BBQ tonight anyone?
