Of course, if you're switched into this channel for a news update I'm not going to be able to bring much worth, but hey, thanks for coming!
First of all: Bunbury was great. It was really cool to catch up with Ebony again and discuss those things that only us die-hard P&P fans understand (for example, debating over the likelihood that Cnl.F. would marry AdB - heeeee). We went to this reaaaaaaally nice Indian restaurant, where we all ordered a plate each and then passed them around so we could all have a taste of everything. I loved the tandoori the best, which I ordered anyway. :) Then we went back to Ebs' and had cake and a drink or two, then sat up talking for a few hours before eventually going to bed (as you do).
The next day was Mother's Day - so to all my mothers all over the world - HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! I realise I'm late, but what else is new? Anyway, I didn't get to be with my *real* mother for the second year running, but it doesn't necessarily follow that I forgot about her! (Love you mummy!) So I went to Busselton with Ebony and her Mum, and then we drove down to Dunsborough for lunch and ice-cream (it was gelato - Australian version of course - I had a scoop of limoncello *dies* and lemon lime bitter *and again*) Although no gelato beats the stuff I had in Italyyyyyyyyyy! *grin* So after we finished our ice-cream, we drove back up to Bunbury so I could catch the train and go back to Perth.
Where I got in at about quarter to 6pm, consequently I missed the last bus back to Morley and was stuck unless I wanted to play train-bus transfer tickets. Which I didn't. So I grit my teeth (at the thought of losing $20) and ordered a taxi. That turned out to be ok, because I made a friend! And that's always good. He's 25 and goes to ECU Mt. Lawley too, so we're supposedly going to catch up sometime.
I rang up Mum and Nan for Mother's Day. Nan's still in hospital and probably will be for a while yet, but she sounded pretty chirpy. Mum and Dad rocked up there while I was talking to her so that obviously brightened her up all the more too. Mum ended up ringing me when she got home about an hour later, consequently I missed all the middle of Love Actually which I was a tiny bit resentful about but reminded myself that not only had I seen it a million times and pretty much knew it off by heart, I also own it.
I'm so behind on everything. I've been meaning to email all my Holland families and friends since forever and I'm still getting around to it. I've had postcards written from weeks ago that I haven't sent yet and haven't even started replying to Jill and Mary's letters. And don't even get me started on Uni work!! Geez, double major here-I-come!
The other week I got Bon Jovi's Bounce album and an Australian classics compilation album all for $20. I don't think I mentioned that but I was pretty proud of myself! :)
Apparently they did wadlopen in holland last weekend. I remember wadlopen-ing. It was cool. The Chinese was delicious. I had to borrow Carol's shampoo adnd conditioner and I lost my soap down the plug-hole. Satchels had to cut her jeans into shorts. Someone decked me (I think it may have been Roger Roger), and everyone laughed because I was decked pretty well. :p I felt really smart by having my camera in my waterproof bag until Jaap pointed out there was holes in it and there was water going in *Loooooooooooooser*. Carol drank beer out of a coffee cup. Nut sang. We got certificates that didn't even have our names on (budgo). It was good, wholesome fun.
Mrs. Darcy is sick. She has what looks to be an absess or something on her right side near her tail fin. I'm very concerned and sad. I really hope she gets better, otherwise I'll be all lost and lonely again!
I've just found out (from the PZC website: Provinciale Zeeuwse Courant - Zeeland's answer to The West Australian - no less) that Geri Halliwell had a little girl on Sunday i.e. Mothers Day. How nice for her. Hmmmm... no feeling. Obviously my Spice Girls days are long since gone. :p
I'm off to do something interesting, like sleep, perhaps.
Bye.
Rat/Skip xoxo
