First of all, I have to whinge about last night's McLeod's. Nick, after however many weeks/months all-but-dead in Argentina *FINALLY* returned back to Drover's. Now, given that he hasn't seen his *wife* who is *pregnant* for all this time and they'd only been married for a relatively short time before it all happened, you would *THINK* that he'd be rather enthusiastic to see his loved ones again! To give him credit, I suppose he tried, but it just wasn't working for me. I mean, even if you do have issues and whatever, you're going to at least momentarily forget them when you see your wife after however long (whose carrying your child, no less), and show a bit of happiness. Now, I know it's not really in Nick's nature to be particularly over-zealous about things - you know, one of those happy-on-the-inside types (eg. Mr. Darcy, but not the goldfish, :) his namesake!) - but COME ON.
Ok, now that I've let all that out, there's nothing much more to say. Obviously because it's Thursday there's jack-all on TV so I'll be doing assignments all night it seems, yippee. Of course, it probably would help things to get a bit more organised than I have been since I started uni - not that I'm incredibly behind or anything! *crosses fingers*. My group got our marks back for our Team Contract we had to create and write up: we got a credit-->distinction (meaning it was really very good, but we didn't incorporate much of the theory from the book (BORING!), which brought our marks down).
I have two letters to write and who-would know how many emails. Speaking of which, I'd better check my uni emails because for all I know they could have sent me one saying I've been such an utterly outstanding student that they're going to give me a doctorate tomorrow! ...Or that I just have to get my arse into gear and pay my bills. But you know, I can dream can't I?!?
Post-easter detox is going well. Thanks to overloads of water, tomato, lettuce, feta cheese and balsamic vinegar (mmmmmmmm!), I think I finally got the taste of chocolate out of my mouth and my system. So, all good until next Easter! :)
The great news is that I have clothes!! YAY!!! Two of the last three boxes I sent over from the Netherlands before I left arrived last weekend with most of my clothes in them... YAY!! There was also all this other *awww tear* stuff in them: our yearbook, photo frames and albums, books, souvenirs from places I've been... anyway, I was ecstatic.
Mum and I went shopping yesterday for our little house. We got a bed for me, a coffee table from WA Salvage, but it's actually pretty cool!- I just haven't set it up yet. We also got a clothes hanger thingo you know for when it's raining and you have to hang your washing inside? Yeah one of them. And we went to Ikea (joyous occasion for me after being reprimanded repeatly by various Dutch people for never having been to Ikea. Apparently it's a violation of International law?), which was a very memorable occasion. We got a set of plastic chopping boards (because I despise the glass one we have at the moment), for $4 and a set of 4 knives in a wooden block for $6 - scored! So we went home and I was making potato bake and consequently cut my finger - due to over-excitement of having knives I could actually handle and use - so Mum had to take over and finish it.
Ok, that's about all from me for now. I'm off to due something constructive, like plan the bright flurescent orange outfit I'm going to wear this Saturday night in the city for Koninginnenacht!! *grin*
Bye!
