I was working Graduation this morning. As usual, I was hidden in the kitchen of the Armory running the video equipment, when they announced a new award to go with the student leadership award, and the faculty leadership award: a staff leadership award which recognizes college and community service. Well, I'm just working along when I thought I heard "The first winner of the Greg Shrewsbury Staff Leadership Award is Jerry Conner." I ignored it because, to be honest, I figured I heard wrong. Someone had to come drag me out. Honestly, the $100 prize that goes with it is nice, but being the first winner and taking the walk up the aisle to accept: priceless.
