Alan Rickman Writes a Fan Letter (To Fans)

Jun 02, 2011 12:16

Alan Rickman has written a letter that was published in Empire Magazine. The scan is below. It's a fan letter to the fans, and also to J. K. Rowling. What do we make of his final voice-over with the Trio as children? Will that be an extra, or included in the credits of the movie? Easter egg? What do you think?

It's hard not to get a little emotional while reading this. I think it's fascinating that he chose to play Snape after hearing the tidbit from JKR about Snape's character ~ and we know from past interviews that she told him Snape loved Harry's mother. And for the Snape-haters reading this, yes, JKR did want him to play Snape, so I guess she thought he was okay for the role.
