Carrie Ann Baade: Lady Or Tiger
Sensational painter and friend Carrie Ann Baade has honored me greatly with a portrait entitled "Lady Or Tiger" as part of a series of paintings on display at Billy Shire.
There's an old Chinese saying: "He who rides the tiger finds it impossible to dismount." That is to say, once a dangerous or troublesome venture is begun, the safest course is to carry it through to the end. I'm in a period of my life where I definitely feel like I'm riding a tiger, so we'll see where it takes me! I'm hoping, as I perceive in this painting, that I'll find the tiger has in time become a part/extension of myself!
