Got Sig?

So Liz is the proud owner of a new bumper sticker. The Sticker says “Got Sig?” and she got it from the gun store when she bought her new Sig Saur pistol earlier this month. Sig is the same manufacture that supplies pistols to the Secret Service and hers is an identical model except for one small detail….. Hers is a .22 caliber version but it has all the same futures of the larger caliber versions including a Picatinny rail for mounting a tactical light or laser. Why has my wife decided to by a hand gun? Well the reasons are many, research for a project that Liz is working on, plinking (something we can do together) home defense (it’s a law out here that ever home have a serviceable gun with ammunition) and well there just plan cool alright! Anyway were at the range this afternoon (its lady’s night can you beat that) and Liz and I get 200 rounds of ammunition for about $12.00 that’s pretty expensive for .22’s but the Sig likes the mini mags and my online order is not in yet but its still a lot cheaper than 9mm for the full sized pistols. So we go out on the range and the guy next to us looks at the Sig Mosquito (brand name) and shacks his head. Mind you he’s shooting a Glock in .45, huge next to the .22 sig. So this guy starts shooting the Glock and its making this really impressive sound and you can feel the pressure waves hitting you. The Sig on the other hand makes a nice little metallic “Pop” sound. So after about 20 minutes of the .45’s BLAM…. BLAM and the .22’s POP..POP..POP.. I look over at the target of the fellow that was snickering at Liz’s little gun. He had put 50 rounds down range and about half and missed the target entirely and about 15 of the remaining shots had hit the paper but missed the target area. At a range of 20-25 feet this guy had missed a person sized target with around 80% of his shots he was still giggling when he was walking behind me when I rapped fired 5 rounds into a 3 inch pattern and Liz did the same with a 5 in pattern. The stopped giggling and said it was only his second time shooting to when Liz said “Hay Me too!”. The man left quietly.

Next up is the Kal-Tec Sub 2000.……

I think we may have been in Georgia too long…..
