CN review

Dec 30, 2008 04:08

So, my CN came in the mail today, as expected! I can't even tell you how excited I was for it to get here. I was a little worried it'd be damaged from shipping, as a lot of the reviews I've seen have mentioned broken or mangled pieces, and while the company's supposedly been good about replacement parts, I didn't want to have to wait. Luckily, the biggest casualty was one small crack in the edge of a pan, in a completely irrelevant area. I'm probably going to point out the defect anyway, but it's good that that's all that was "wrong".

It went together fairly easily, I think the old cage may have given me more trouble trying to shove it back in its box. There were a couple connectors that needed a little hammer treatment for straightening, but nothing drastic. I have to admit, I was a little wary of the "no tools required" assembly, but it's super sturdy and stable. All the pieces fit in really snugly, and it seems very structurally sound.

It's a beast.

Top: Apple water dish, Marchi house, spring toy, wood chew, felt cube, fleece rope, basket, hanging bird toy, yellow tube, corner hammock, yellow hammock, rat castle/fort, tube, snack chain, ball, Shredder strip.

Bottom: Food, water, Marchi tube, hammock hammock hammock, wheel, fleece rope, ball, cat toy, litterbox, igloo, oat tube.

These are unfortunately not very high-quality, since I had to have the flash on

to see/for the shutter speed priority to work right, and it sort of washed out Izzie and Eva.

Meredith examines the fort.

Heeeeeyyyyyy.

Izzie finds the second level!

I think Eva is a fan of the castle.

Mer, she likes sitting on roofs of things.

Who, me?

Captains of the basket-ship!

They had (actually, are probably still having) a blast running around and checking everything out. It's fundamentally not even *that* much bigger than the Marchi, but the increase in usable floorspace is incredible. It's an amazing cage, I already love it bunches.

xposted to ratties, sorry if you see it twice!
