So it all started Friday morning after me and Kylista had breakfast at IHOP. She dropped me off in Woodstock at 5 AM (its so nice to have someone that I can depend on like that.) So we drove down and when we got to I-95 we turned south. Seems I had it wrong about thinking it was Tybee Island, it was actually St Simons Island we were going to. We got there and headed straight out to the beach. Muddiest water Ive ever seen. The ocean was brown. Me always going to Florida, I didnt expect that shit. Seems that when you have a river flowing out and marshes, the water isnt very clear. So much for the plan of snorkeling. We stayed at the beach for a lil while, but the only thing to do was look for hermit crabs. Went back to the hotel and drank and swimmed in the pool and looked at the hot girls there. So the next day we woke up early and got some breakfast before heading to the dock. I was the only one smart enough to put on sun block, cuz everyone else was going to just man it out. Suckers. So we got on the bad ass boat (30 ft long and ran 56 mph) and headed on out. I was the second one to catch a shark and it was a keeper at 60-65 lbs and over 4 ft long. We caught over 20 sharks, but could only keep 6 of them because of the limits. Dan was the only person to catch a shark bigger than mine. It was 100 lbs and over 5 ft long, so he is going to have that one mounted. So after the long day out on the boat, we headed for home and I slept nearly the whole way back. I am still pretty well burnt even though I wore sunblock, so I know the others must be hating life right now. Overall a cool weekend and I would say shark fishing is def worth a try to everyone.
