Heat Wave

Ugh it's so freaking hot here. I know, I spend most of my time in my room, but when I left the house, it was horrible.

So during this time, I've watched some stuff...

So I decided, despite it being on NBC, that I should check it out. It was like if the 4400 and the X-Men had a love child, this would be the result. But it was very good. Like really entertaining. Maybe it's because I had virtually no expectations going in. I really want to see what happens next, especially if you saw the ending, you know where the other brother actually can fly! I was like WTF in a good way. Even that girl, I can't stand the actress, was interesting. Kinda like Bobby in the X-Men...mutant but can't tell his parents... This isn't the most original pilot, but who cares, the 4400 sucks now and I need my extreme being substitute. Plus - Greg Grunberg HELLOO!

There it is... It's a pilot made by the creator of Scrubs and it wasn't picked up. That's not the story, the story is it's life on YouTube. Someone put it up there, and it's become this sort of hit internet thing. Me? I found it funny, not OMGAMAZING! but it definitely had these moments of genuine hilarity. The Mock laugh track got very annoying and I would hope if it had any future for that to be minimized. Yeah I know, it's a satire, but it doesn't make it right. I got the joyful surprise of seeing Billy from BSG there. BILLY! Still miss him :-( Overall I would watch it past the first episode, but I could see why it wasn't picked up... Doesn't make it right thought :-(

This is such a brilliant show. I mean, I have this thing when I watch shows based on their previews and this one had a song. Blister in the Sun reminded me of CTY so much that I needed to tune in. So I did and it was amazing. One of the best aspects is that the over the top psych antics just make the people around Sean just have these WTF faces. And I find myself having the same reaction, and without having said reactions integrated into the show, those things would get old. But because it's supposed to be *headdesk* and it is clear about that, I love it. That makes almost no sense, but so what? I'm in love with it, and that's that.

Yeah I'm watching them. OMG CLAUDIA BLACK. That's pretty much the only reason i'm watching SG-1. Vala is by far my favorite and she's freaking hot. I've been nostalgia over Farscape, and I love how different Aeryn and Vala are. Plus I have to see Ben Browder and Claudia Black together. As for the plot...eh. I mean, it's nothing different from what I'd normally expect. All I remember is that I wish Vala had more of a reaction to her child. She just seemed to know the kid was bad and was OK with that. Like there wasn't a huge maternal instinct with that, and I kinda hoped to see more of that.

As for Stargate Atlantis, good. Not Great, but good none the less. For some reason I'm drawing a huge blank on what happened. I have little things like Sheppard piggybacking onto the Hive ship and working with the Wraith/Human guy (Michael?) and McKay attempting to do something on the hive ship... Oh and the Hive ship having coordinates to Earth or something else. As I said, these two aren't my favorites, especially, you know without BSG...

Which leads me to the Battlestar Galactica Season 3 promo. And OMG is it bad if I saw it like 15 times? I mean, OMG OMG OMG, is it October? Is it close? UGH. So where to start? How about Kara and Leoben? They are my favorites, let's move over to their children... Or Kara's child... I originally thought that Kara and Baltar would have spawn from their one night stand, but I guess Kara had a kid from her time on the Farm. But WOW. Just omg WOW. I just love her reaction, from what I can tell.

Or how about Six and Three and about the one Six loves? OMG just beautiful writing right there. I mean, we knew Six would fall to Gaius' side and I love how the other Cylons just don't get it. It's odd that the one thing all of them are trying to achieve is the one thing that's leading to their downfall. Think about it: The Sharons' fall in love and both end up siding with the Humans and Six falls in love and turns to her lover's side. It's so poetic.

Lee...Poor Lee, Duala's right, you need to get your ass back in shape. You're just pathetic buddy. Maybe it would behoove you to clean up, get back in shape, and adopt a British Accent. That'd be perfect... But seriously, do you need constant pain and suffering to keep your figure in pristine shape?

So what do we make of the Chief and Callie? Eh. I mean, that's a great shot of the baby on the Chief and Callie looking on with worry. I don't really know, I never really liked them together... I'm not sure who actually did... This story arc has some potential though, if done properly with the right amount of resentment...

And I'll go back to Kara... That Kara in prison shot is just so beautiful and omgah!yes. I can't believe how beautiful that promo was, and how amazing these shots and clips were. I mean, this made me just fall in love with the show all over again. Not that I had actually fallen out of love with it, but sometimes I just lose some of the adoration over a span of time. This just brought it all back for me.
