HOLY SHIT! WTF WAS THAT? 24 hours and I'm still digesting this massive mindfuck. So the island disappeared and the people are skipping through time... or the island is skipping through time... So did Ben move the island or just get rid of it? Is the island now some place else in the present? Why am I asking so many questions?
So Daniel made it for the trip, hurray! Somebody needs to explain all this science shit. And his mom is totally Ms. Hawking, it all makes so much sense now! But could it be too obvious? I'm afraid to call that one solved, I've been burned too often for thinking the obvious. So back to Daniel, who totes knows what's happening and knows the rules. And then there's his entry into the Dharma Initiative, which makes me wonder, does the time skipping stop or is it intermittent? Can't imagine a season of new island moments every week, well I can but it could get old.
DESMOND AND PENNY! PENNY AND DESMOND! I love how the rules don't apply to him and he's the key. Or is Hurley the key? At the moment, he's the only one truly out of reach, doing the opposite of what Ben and Ana-Lucia wanted. Bro got arrested, but he's away from Ben. Except this time I may actually believe Ben, or am I really naive? He looked to terrified when Hurley got caught.
And why do the Six matter? What is so important about getting them back to the island? WHY THEM? Nobody seems concerned with Desmond at the moment, perhaps because the rules don't apply, he doesn't affect the island skipping. Well, good luck getting everyone back and saving the world.
Now some final general questions about the rest of the season. First, I know the flash system is kind of moot. Michael Emerson said there will be "flash-forwards, flashbacks, and flash-presents". Well, now we know what the flash-presents are, island skipping. Now, will the flashbacks be pre-crash, post-crash, or post-rescue? I hope we get all three, because I still like hearing about the past, past of our characters. Hopefully we'll get some flashbacks of the freighter folk. We only got a tiny sneak peak last season. Bring it this one!
