Hee, great episode. The mystery turned kinda lame towards the end, the resolution was bizarre and fairly unexplained. But that wasn't the point of this episode. The point was to have fun with House/Wilson/Cuddy. Wilson freaking out when he got the flowers was amazing. I was laughing so hard, then when he was like "I'm going to go in there and kiss her," I lost it. Those two wacky kids are the funniest people. The "seriously?" bits made me think about Grey's (a shout out maybe?) and they confused me. Hell, they confused everyone. The very end when House asked Cuddy to a movie, I was like "HOLY SHIT!" because House totally wants to get in her pants. It's not like we had hints for weeks or anything. Still, it was hysterical for him to go back to his original theater idea. Oh, and the look of confusion on Cuddy's face was hysterical.
I'm feeling ambivalent about Sanjaya going. On the one hand, I looked forward to him sucking every Tuesdays and Wednesdays (he tended to suck worse on the results shows). To be honest, I knew he would go if it was up to him and LaKisha. Now what do I have to look forward to next Tuesday? I'm probably not going to watch. On the other hand, I hated Sanjaya. I would have been angry if he stayed and Kiki or Blake went instead. So this week was a lose-lose situation I guess. At least we saw Jaya cry and forget the lyrics to his swan song.
Do you know we haven't had a bad Lost episode since February 21? "Stranger in a Strange Land" was the last crappy one, and the only crappy one since the show has come back. How nuts is that? This makes Season 3 the best season of Lost. Too bad no one is watching it. Right, so "One of Us" last week was probably my second favorite this season, behind "Flashes Before Your Eyes." It had a fascinating back story with an amazing twist. I think the flashbacks with little known characters are the best if they involve the island/mysteries/heartbreak. OMG, I cry every time I watch the scene where Ben shows Juliet her sister and nephew. Elizabeth Mitchell deserves an Emmy...now. It also humanized Ben, which is weird as it wasn't his flashback. I think he genuinely was afraid that he had this tumor. Juliet had a point, why couldn't this Jacob cure him? Add that to the mystery list. I've seen this episode 3 times since last week, and it just gets better and better each viewing. Did I mention Elizabeth needs an Emmy? Hell, so does Michael Emerson.
This weeks episode was not as good as last week's, but Desmond has yet to have a shitty backstory. See, this backstory showed how Des met Penny, and it reflected his hope at finding her. Apparently, he was quite the mess before Pen. Drunken Monk anyone? OK, the BIG MAJOR HUGE FREAKING WTFING EASTER EGG. There was a quick split second shot of Brother Campbell's desk with a picture of him and
Ms. Hawking. This might mean nothing, it could have been planted just to pique our interests. It also could introduce Ms. Hawking as a key player sometime in the future. I hope it's the latter, we still know jack shit about her and how she knows about time and shit. Maybe she's a
Time Lord. So that lady was not Penny. I really thought for a second it would be her, I guess I'm just naive, but I wanted a happy ending. This means that Penny's been finding a way onto the island, and she succeeded, unfortunately it looks like she stranded one of her crew. I was worried we weren't going to get a return to the real-time Penny story. I thought we'd have to wait until the finale.
For me, the thought-provoking part of this episode was when Des questioned if saving Charlie was even the right thing to do. What is Des's challenge is to let Charlie die? Maybe that's where Hawkings will pop up. Des is screwing with the natural order. Charlie has to die, I would feel not killing him would be a cop out. You can't almost kill a character 4 times and then miraculously he is saved permanently. What if this is a test for Des, what if Charlie dying actually works out for everyone in the end... OK, not so much for Charlie, but for everyone else.
AAH so behind in school. Freaking out... AAAH.
Oh, and use
Twitter, srsly, it's the shit.
