Now I do like Heroes, I like it a lot more than I thought I would a few weeks back. It's weird though, because I find myself calling it Lost for dummies. I find the character connections painfully obvious. On Lost, when there are character connections, as a viewer, I feel really proud that I was able to figure it out. The connections aren't always thrown out there with a walk by or direct interaction. Sometimes it's something as quick as a little known last name or a shot on a TV. The fact is on Heroes, I don't overly care about this NY Nuke. I guess I'm just along for the ride on this one, though I believe that's what I said about
Grey's Anatomy over a year ago... I believe I also have called it "barely TV worthy." So obviously My opinions are subject to change.
I think I was most looking forward to Hiro, because he is obviously awesome... Just one question: why is he a samurai in the future? Dunno but he sure looked really cool. I'm glad these guys are really starting to connect... well I hope they start to connect...
Um...meh? I'm not sure how to view this show, because other than the Aaron Sorkin wit, I feel nothing. I just don't like the sketches they show, I don't like the romances, and I'm getting annoyed at Jordan being so smooth and hot. Could she be any less realistic? The thing that grabbed me in the first episode was that whole commentary on the state of television... Obviously I expected too much out of the show, because that's not what it's about... Frankly the show lacks the urgency that was present during the West Wing and as a result it just is hard to take seriously. Like Harriet and Matt? BLEH. I mean I just don't care at all. I liked it better when it was just awkward ex's. I'm not big on the will-they-won't-they sexual tension. They're not Pam and Jim folks. Also? What happened to Matt and/or Danny's drug problems? That'd add some urgency if these boys were shown just losing it slowly. I'm getting annoyed at sub-par sketches with sub-par impressions. Frankly Sorkin shouldn't try writing comedy sketches, maybe he could hire some SNL writers to help with that...
Once again, I'm hesitant to make harsh judgments, because I have been wrong before about the Office and Grey's Anatomy.
