Every year around this time, Alma has a competition called the Kapp prize. Teams of three people come up with a three-pronged approach to improving the college. Two of my friends were working on it together, and I joined them halfway through the project. Well, we won, and they may be implementing our ideas. Most of them aren't a big deal, but my favorite (and the one I had the largest part in creating) is the Faculty-Student lounge. Ideally, this will be a lounge on the first floor of SAC, in which students and professors can sit down and have a cup of coffee with eachother, and talk about whatever. It'd be fairly cheap to build, considering all we'd have to do is knock down one wall, and improve the looks of the place. We just found out this morning that we won, so we'll see how it shapes up.
